— The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has closed Million Dollar Beach, the most popular beach on Lake George, effective immediately due to coliform counts that exceed New York State Department of Health guidelines.DEC is also closing all waters in the area known as Dog Beach, which lies between West Brook and the Lake George Beach facility.This is the second time the beach was closed recently, and for the same reason; the beach was closed Friday until Saturday around noon.
