The Eau Claire County Parks & Forest Department announced today that water testing results by the City-County Health Department indicate Big Falls, Lake Altoona and Lake Eau Claire swimming areas still have high bacteria levels and remain closed.The City-County Health Department policy is to close all areas whenever water samples indicate high levels of bacteria above safe standards.The health department will continue to retest Lake Altoona, Big Falls and Lake Eau Claire and the Parks & Forest Department will inform the public when bacteria levels are within acceptable health standards.
