Check your fridges and freezers, folks.Adams Farm Slaughterhouse, an Athol, Massachusetts-based company, recalled all beef, veal and bison packaged products due to an E. coli outbreak, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.The company recall includes meat packaged from July 21 to September 22, 2016 after federal officials were notified of seven illnesses traced back to the contaminated red meat across Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

AdvertisementAdams Farm Slaughterhouse has issued a recall of some of its beef, veal and bison products over concerns that these might contain a strain of potentially deadly strain of E-coli bacteria.The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) said that at least seven people in four U.S. states have already been identified to have been infected by the potentially lethal E. coli O157:H7 believed to be linked to Adams Farm Slaughterhouse.E. coli O157:H7 is known to cause possibly life-threatening infections particularly in older adults, young children and those with weak immune systems.

WASHINGTON, September 24, 2016 – Adams Farm Slaughterhouse, LLC, an Athol, Mass., establishment, is recalling beef, veal, and Bison products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.The raw intact and non-intact beef products originated from animals slaughtered on July 15, 25, and 27, 2016 and August 3, 8, 10, 11, 17, 24 and 26, 2016, and further processed and packed on various dates between July 21, and September 22, 2016.The products subject to recall bear establishment number EST.
