A Massachusetts meat company is recalling beef, veal and bison processed from July through this week because state and federal officials have linked it to a multi-state outbreak of E. coli O157:H7.Seven people in four states have been confirmed with infections from the outbreak strain of E. coli.Of the five victims interviewed as of Thursday, all five reported eating ground beef from Adams Farm Slaughterhouse LLC in Athol, MA, before becoming ill, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

WASHINGTON -Adams Farm Slaughterhouse, an Athol, Mass., establishment, is recalling beef, veal and bison products that may be contaminated with E. coli, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Saturday.The raw intact and non-intact beef products originated from animals slaughtered on July 15, 25 and 27, 2016 and August 3, 8, 10, 11, 17, 24 and 26, 2016, and further processed and packed on various dates between July 21 and Sept. 22, 2016.• The products subject to recall bear establishment number EST.

By By Karen Graham 1 hour ago in Food Athol - A Massachusetts facility is recalling veal, beef, and bison products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, according to a Class I recall notice published by the USDA's Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) on Saturday.The recalled products include 27 different lots of raw meat that include veal, beef, and bison, from whole carcasses, to everything in between and on down to ground veal, beef, and bison.The meats were shipped to farmer's markets, retail locations, and restaurants in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and eastern New York, as well as possibly being distributed into neighboring states.
