Medical Prognosis Institute (MPI) and its spin-out Oncology Venture Sweden (OV) have inked a series of deals with respect to use of MPI's addiction Response Prediction (DRP™) technology for developing tumor-derived genetic signatures for personalized cancer therapy.Under terms of the deal, MPI has granted OV exclusive, 3-year wordwide rights to the DRP platform for use in drug development and in the clinical field.The rights extend to use of the technology by OV's existing U.S. spin-out 2X Oncology for three anticancer products, and by a new OV special purpose vehicle (SPV), OV-SPV2 project tyrosine kinase inhibitor, for one high-risk product.MPI and OV also reported that $4 million in seed funding has been secured for the two SPVs.
