Scott Lee has died after a battle with brain cancer.Lee, who also served as the city's assistant safety director, died Dec. 28, according to a post on the Shaker Heights police department's Facebook page.Lee was on the Shaker Heights police department for 33 years, and he served as chief for the last eight years of his career."Scott was a leader, mentor, friend and committed worker who inspired others to place service above self," the Facebook post says.
