UM scholars invent pill to diagnose breast Cancer disease

University of Michigan investigators have invented a pill which going to light up Cancer disease cells under infrared light. The pill contains a combination of a dye & a molecule which targets breast Cancer disease cells. Mammograms miss about 1 in every 5 breast cancers, according to the American Cancer disease community, & false positives are popular. The UM group selected breast Cancer disease as an initial target for the Analysis, however it can be customized for many different cancers or illnesses. which's because the component which directs the dye to the breast Cancer disease cells can be exchanged for 1 which targets other types of cells.


Hundreds walk for breast Cancer disease awareness at Liberty State Park

Cancer disease survivors, family members & volunteers collected in Liberty State Park today for the 11th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to lift awareness about breast Cancer disease. The morning began by a 5K race & fun run where people had the option of having their run timed. The Survivors' Walk too took place, where Cancer disease survivors & their loved ones walked together in solidarity & celebration. After the procession, there was a rally by the survivors where choirs sang & speakers talked about the importance of breast Cancer disease study. Proceeds from the event go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure base, that is dedicated to breast Cancer disease study & awareness.
