BANGOR TOWNSHIP, MI — Bay County Health Department officials have issued a beach closure at Wenona Beach after water samples tested for high E. coli bacteria levels.The closure comes following a Tuesday, July 26, water sample at the beach that showed the amount of bacteria exceeded the state's single-event standard for total body contact recreational activities, like swimming.The state's standard is 300 colonies of E. coli per 100 milliliters of water.
