Washington County officials said Wednesday they're investigating a handful of E. coli cases that may have stemmed from contact with livestock at the county fair."Several" people have come down with diarrhea because of the bacteria, the county said in a news release.A county spokeswoman said officials aren't releasing details about the number of people affected or whether any were hospitalized, citing the ongoing investigation.
