LEELANAU COUNTY, Mi.(WPBN/WGTU) -- The Benzie/Leelanau District Health Department has lifted the beach advisories for two Leelanau County beaches after test results show normal levels of E.coli.The health department was advising no contact with the water above the waist at Elmwood Twp.

LEELANAU COUNTY, MI - A contamination advisory was issued Thursday, Sept. 1 for two Northern Michigan beaches because of high levels of E.coli.The Benzie/Leelanau District Health Department is advising people to have no contact with water above the waist at Suttons Bay Park and Grieickville Harbor Beach.Health Department officials said the water will be re-sampled and results will be released Friday, Sept. 2.

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Mi.(WPBN/WGTU) -- The Chippewa County Health Department released Thursday that the beach warnings have been lifted after test results show safe levels of E.coli.According to the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office, Sherman Park in the City of Sault Ste Marie and Four Mile Beach in Soo Township were closed to recreational swimming on Wednesday.
