A study released on Friday reported that as people lost weight, appetite increased proportionally, leading to the consumption of more calories and a weight loss plateau.The study, the first to examine how strongly appetite can counter weight loss, was led by researchers at the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK).The trial involved data from a one year, placebo-controlled, double-blind study in which people with type 2 diabetes could eat and drink without any restrictions.
