A ALast month, I traveled to Washington, D.C., with American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network volunteers from across the country.I asked Congress to increase federal funding for the National Cancer Institute for cancer research, and to take action on legislation that would improve patient quality of life and remove cost barriers to colorectal cancer screenings for seniors.I met with Sens.Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray and visited Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler's office and made it clear that now is the time to fund cancer research in support of the Cancer Moonshot Initiative.
