FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia (WDEF) – The city of Fort Oglethorpe has issued a "boil water notice."Yesterday, they got a sample of e-coli bacteria in the water.They are now flushing the system and increasing their sampling to determine the source.The city expects to have new samples back by this evening.

Recent water samples that came back positive for E. coli and total coliform bacteria have prompted Milwaukie city officials to issue a boil water notice for all residents.Tests came back positive after the city started connecting to Portland's water supply while the city worked on repairs to a water tank at Southeast 40th Avenue and Harvey Street.However, city officials said that the boil water notice does not affect Portland water customers at this time.

(KOIN) — A boil water notice was lifted by the City of Milwaukie after new water samples determined the water was clean, not contaminated and potable.Earlier tested water samples returned positive for E.coli and total coliform bacteria.The samples were taken from a tank at SE 40th Avenue and Harvey Street where Milwaukie and Portland's water supplies connect, city officials said in a press release.
