40,000 pounds of veal from Ohio company recalled over E. coli concern
An Ohio packing company is recalling more than 40,000 pounds of boneless veal products, some of which are sold in Texas, because they may be contaminated with E. coli. The recall covers about 40,680 pounds of the meat from the Ohio Farms Packing Co. Ltd company, as well as an undetermined amount of veal cutlets, the USDA announced Thursday. Companies that purchase products from the company should contact them directly to find out whether or not the product may have be recalled, and should throw away or return the products. The cutlets were sold to food services, not directly to consumers. The products were produced between Nov. 30, 2016, and Feb. 3, 2017.
