The singer talked to his good friend, Jada Pinkett Smith, about his daily fight. August Alsina scared fans in September 2014 after collapsing on stage during a performance. The 24-year-old said very little about the incident (claiming it had to do with coma recovery at the time) until now.

Then in 2015, he fought an eye disease which almost made him blind in the left eye. A beautiful face will fade, a beautiful body will too fade, but a beautiful soul is that FOREVER.


During a sit down with Jada Pinkett-Smith, 24 year-old singer August Alsina recently opened up about his battle with liver disease. The young singer goes on to talk about his health, telling Pinkett Smith "I have a liver disease. "I feel like sadness and depression is so embedded in my DNA," says Alsina, in an Instagram preview of the discussion. Still, the singer seems resolved to stay positive, referring to his conversation with Jada as "the most HEALING conversations." The reality is that I'm sick all the time...I don't really like to talk about it because I'm not looking for anybody's sympathy," Alsina adds.
