The Public Health Agency of Canada tells 21 people in Quebec, Fresh Brunswick & Newfoundland & Labrador became sick from Ecoli in November. Many of the individuals said they ate romaine lettuce before getting sick. Human Ecoli contagions are often the result of consuming raw fruits or vegetables which have been contaminated by an infective animal's feces.
