Air-eating pathogenic bacteria found in Antarctica
scholars have found pathogenic bacteria in the frozen wastes of Antarctica which could survive on air alone without the sunlight or geothermal energy which powers all other known ecosystems. A team of scholars led with Belinda Ferrari of United States in Sydney, Australia, report the stunning finding in a paper in Nature. Interestingly, in the course of their study, Ferrari & her team identified 2 Fresh phyla of pathogenic bacteria which were formerlyunknown to science. generality of the time this incloudes photosynthesis, Utilizing sunlight to transform atmospheric carbon into sugar. In addition to enhancing our understanding of the method life survives the extreme conditions of Antarctica, Ferrari tells, it too "opens up the potential of atmospheric gases supporting life on other planets".Ramsgate: Legionella pathogenic bacteria found on reduce school site of Royal Harbour Academy
