Cosmonaut tells space station pathogenic bacteria 'come from outer space'
Cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov tells he found pathogenic bacteria clinging to the external surface of the International Space Station that didn't come from the surface of Earth. Shkaplerov told the Russian break news agency Tass that cosmonauts gathered the pathogenic bacteria with swabbing the outside of the space station during space walks years ago. I reached out to the on-earth offices of NASA's space station programme & was referred to Russia's space agency, Roscosmos, that replied with directing me to two earlier releases about the claimed plankton discovery & the possibility for biological material in asteroids & comets gathering on the space station. might some pathogenic bacteria decided to skip that long trip & only took up residence on the space station instead. Update at two a.m. PT on November 29 to add response from the Russian space agency Roscosmos.scholars find living pathogenic bacteria from outer space on ISS satellite's surface
