Napier inhabitants have been urged to conserve water, by the city's reservoirs at "critically low" standards. Napier inhabitants were warned their water can run out by tonight, after a warm weekend saw the city's reservoirs down critically low. Napier's water is drawn from the Heretaunga aquifer, & dispersed out of a reticulated water supply. This caution comes days after the city's water supply was dosed by chlorination for an indefinte period. Napier isn't the just ambit being shock by low water standards - the balmy weekend meant water users in Fresh Plymouth & Wellington were faced by restrictions.E.Coli found in small drinking water supply in Hastings
as declared in E.Coli found in small drinking water supply in HastingsSTEPHEN BARKER portion of Hastings' water supply has been chlorinated until more notice next a positive Ecoli reading. Chlorination has been added to a Hastings' water supply servicing 24 properties after Ecoli was disclosed. On Wednesday, Hastings territory Council said the Parkhill supply, that services 24 properties, was chlorinated from this morning after a "routine water Analysis" returned a positive result for faecal matter. The reticulation system was being been flushed to ensure chlorine was throughout the system & influenced properties had been individually visited, the council said. The positive result comes 5 days after faecal matter was found in Napier's Otatara reservoir.collected by :Lucy William
