Chlorination has been added to a Hastings' water supply servicing 24 properties after Ecoli was disclosed. On Wednesday, Hastings territory Council said the Parkhill supply, that services 24 properties, was chlorinated from this morning after a "routine water Analysis" returned a positive result for faecal matter. The reticulation system was being been flushed to ensure chlorine was throughout the system & influenced properties had been individually visited, the council said. The positive result comes 5 days after faecal matter was found in Napier's Otatara reservoir.
