SINGAPORE - Freelance photojournalist Debby Ng has won a America$ten,000 (S$13,300) grant from The National Geographic community to keep wildlife in Nepal, with studying dogs there. Ms Ng, 35, told The Straits Times which the National Geographic community Early Career Grant going to let her to study canine distemper virus in the Himalayas. In 1994 canine distemper virus killed 30 per cent of the lions in Serengeti National Park," said Ms Ng. Separately, she going to still the Himalayan Mutt Project, her anti-hydrophobia work which neuters & vaccinates dogs in Nepal. National Geographic's Jill Spear said: "Debby's project going to add to our body of knowledge on illness ecology of domestic dogs, & the method which affects wildlife in Nepal."
