London bans junk food advertesment on public transport to battle child fatness

as declared in LONDON (Reuters) - London plans to ban junk food advertising on its entire public transport network to tackle child fatness, that is between the top in Europe, Mayor Sadiq Kahn said on Friday. "Child fatness in London is a ticking timebomb & I am set to act. Food & drink advertising contributed around 20 mn pounds ($27 mn) to Transport for London's income during the 2016-17 financial year. A spokesperson from the mayor's office said :"About 2 thirds of this comes from high Calories , salt & sugar, food & drink." The plans are a key portion of the mayor's draft London Food Strategy & echo initiatives that have been introduced in Amsterdam this year.
